Beavers

We have a fun time in Beavers at 1st Hedgecourt!


Our Beaver colony is nearly always at maximum capacity with 18 boys and girls who enjoy playing games, exploring, and making things. We meet on 
Wednesday evenings between 6.00pm and 7.00pm.


You can join Beavers at the beginning of the term following your 6th birthday, if there is room. You progress to Cubs when you reach 8 years old.


If you want to join then contact the Group Secretary who will let you know if we have any space or can add you to our waiting list.

Here are a just few of the activities that our young Beavers have enjoyed this year:
  • Roald Dahl evening
  • Visit to East Grinstead fire station
  • Made daffodils for St David's Day
  • Scandinavian evening (with games and food)
  • Walk on Ashdown Forest
  • Visit to The Wings Museum
  • Skills evening – tying laces and rolling scarves
  • Made bunting for the Queen's birthday
  • Decorated pancakes for Shrove Tuesday
  • Made peg and paper aeroplanes
  • Mini-beast hunt
